Went to check this furnace last week, Keeps going out intermittently on code 32. Sometimes it wont run 5 minutes and other times it may run for hours.
Removed burner cover will still go out, unhook exhaust thinking maybe something partially restricting flow it will still code out # 32 with flue off of inducer. Cleaned all ports and checked all pressure switch hoses.
Microsoft word intermediate training manual. Mar 11, 2017 - It is set out in an easy to follow format and in a Word document so that it can be easily edited if necessary to accommodate versi.
Don't have to use our old CO monitor much and it hasn't been calibrated in a while but reading in exhaust one foot from inducer is 45 to 50 ppm. No noticeable change in flames when blower starts,??
Any issues with this unit would be helpful. Condensate backing up in the header box or inducer.
Hear any water churning? Has the condensate trap been cleaned? Assuming this is a condensing furnace, of course.
We have been bit by units set for nat gas fired on lp and getting gummed up inside causing pressure switch errors. Please describe code 32.I second this, but doubt it's from improper conversion. That would have surely revealed itself long before now. But would definitely run it through a Co test Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk. Look for any sign of insects, sometimes they can get into places they should not be. Sounds like the pressure is borderline, which explains the run for 5 minutes or 2 hours. I had one that did the same thing.
Found that when I removed the exhaust the roofers drop debris into the exhaust. That help for a bit, but still tripped out. Found the roof vent cover was all the way down blocking the exhaust too much. But you removed the exhaust, so that rules that out? I would monitor all the pressure switches to see which one is really tripping just to make double sure. I would also make sure the furnace burner cover is in place as excessive leakage before the switch will cause the same issue.
You could also put an amp meter on the inducer motor to see if its changing right when it drops out too. After that might just have to replace the inducer motor.

Overview of WeatherMaker 9300TS The Carrier WeatherMaker 9300 TS (also known as the 9300TS-58MTA) is a gas furnace with an efficiency rating of 93 percent AFUE. According to the manufacturer, its high efficiency is due to the use of two heat exchangers that receive air from a two-speed inducer. The primary exchanger, the Super-S, recycles 80 percent of the heat produced by the furnaces operation, and the secondary heat exchanger recycles 13 percent of remaining heat. With both low- and high-stage heating, the WeatherMaker’s Comfort Heat Technology is intended to enable the furnace to quickly reach and efficiently maintain desired indoor temperatures. For product reliability, the heat exchangers are manufactured with aluminized steel making them corrosion-resistant. The unit has a sealed combustion system to minimize cold drafts that may cause the unit work more than necessary. Carrier also notes that the unit’s hot surface ignition was designed to conserves gas.
The dash console position is strange but I actually kinda like it. The seats are fine for around town but i wouldn't want to take a road trip in it.
Several accessories are available with the 9300TS-58MTA that improve air quality. For example, a system humidifier can be installed or an air cleaner cabinet allowing use of Carrier’s high efficiency air filter. In July of 2003 I purchased and installed this furnace in my home with a friend. It is now December of 2015 and I've never had an issue. It's been 100% reliable. I change filters about once a year and nothing else. I usually operate in low fire mode which gives a longer run time and very few cycles per day as my thermostat is set for a wide comfort temperature range.
Often my furnace only kicks on once a day and raises my home temperature from about 59 degrees to about 70 or 71. Then I'll set the thermostat down to 59 again and leave it until the next day. I realize most people would not like this setup, but I've purposely set it up this way simply to reduce the number of cycles. Going on 13 years with no failures and no service calls. Who can argue with this?

Date created: 2011-10-16 Should have kept the old 35 year old furnace The weather is getting cold so I turned the furnace on. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised to find that again it is not working properly. It ran and blew a bit of heat for a very short time before it started making strange noises and blowing cold air only. We have had problems with this furnace since it was a couple of years old. We never needed a repair on the old original furnace that was in the house when we moved in.
We're on a first name basis with the repair man. He's a nice guy but I'm getting tired of seeing him a couple of times each Winter. I would never buy a Carrier furnace 58MTA060-12 again. I do not like having a furnace I cannot depend on!
Other WeatherMaker 9300TS Reviews Reviews found on HVAC internet sites indicate that most customers are generally satisfied with the WeatherMaker 9300TS-58MTA, notably in the product’s durability. On several HVAC forums, customers express confusion regarding the unit’s diagnostics system, which indicates problems with either a number or with a pattern of red light blinks from inside the unit. Common problems listed on these sites include failed pressure switches and tripped limit switches, all of which are quickly solved by homeowners with some expert guidance. To maintain the warranty it is important that homeowners specifically contact a Carrier service technician for repair, although that option may be more costly.
Try turning the furnace switch or circuit breaker off for about 15-30 seconds and then turn it back on and see what it does. Then, you can also remove the furnace's big panel only, and look and see and hear what happens with the firing up of the furnace. The exhaust fan should first come on quite soon, then usually a purging time delay, then the ignition process happens for either some glow coil or pilot or sparker, and then a click and the gas valve opens and the burner comes on. Watch for all this stuff then report back. Its not even trying to light, no clicking sound. The fan just won't stop blowing. Tried turning on and off and still nothing.
Fan is just blowing continuously. I cannot locate a manual reset button even after searching and seeing manuals.I am going to presume that what keeps running is your blower fan that sends air out your ducts? When this happens this means some limit has tripped.

Either a possible resettable high limit or a resettable flame roll out switch. You will find a thin cylindrical, sometimes red painted pin, that is in the middle of a small switch, that has two wires/spade connectors. If you find any such switch out in front of the burner, or mounted on sheetmetal above the burner area, look to see if it has one of those pins in the middle. Then press it in - and if you feel/hear a slight audible click, you know right then and there you have found your problem.
Albeit, resetting may not cure the underlying cause. But it WILL get the furnace to run the way it should, at least in the beginning. Furnaces with ignition MODULES do not have such a reset switch actually on the module. But if you have a control board here all that soldered stuff is out there in the open to see - then perhaps you have as resettable button right on IT (it may even say RESET), so carefully eye that, also.
